The
air is turning cool, leaving various changed colours. And with this,
one can say that summer is slowly coming to a close. BollyCurry is
already missing the holidays, the sun, the sand, and of course, the
parties! And what is a party without some music and
masti?
Every year, we get songs that have our toes tapping and our heads
bopping - the songs that are played at every event to get us grooving on
the dance floor.
This year so far, is no different. From bhangra to
item songs, we heard it all - played over and over until we are no
longer certain if we love them or hate them, or hate to love them! And
so, Bollycurry brings you some of the party favorites of summer 2013!
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani's
"Badtameez Dil" set everybody's heart a-flutter when it was released
earlier this year, and went viral within days. Benny Dayal's vocals and
Amitabh Bhattacharya's lyrics were a hit with the masses, and everybody
was seen dancing to
Ranbir Kapoor's signature step in this entertaining
and energetic number whenever the DJ played the track.

Another number that brings everyone to the dance floor?
Race 2's
"Lat Lag Gayi", of course. Not only is this club mix full of fast
beats, drums and guitar riffs, it is accompanied by catchy lyrics by
Mayur Puri, and a wonderful blend of vocals from Benny Dayal and
Shalmali Kholgadi. BollyCurry certainly cannot blame the DJs for playing
this song at every party.

Also from
Race 2,
the aptly titled "Party On My Mind" is a fun-blend of techno beats and
heart thumping music that stays on your mind. Prashant Ingole's lyrics
are simple enough and easy to remember while the vocals lent by K.K.,
Shefali Alvares and Yo Yo Honey Singh add much flavour to what has
already become one of the most favourite party numbers of the year. The
remix version simply packs on the heat in an already groovy party anthem
and one cannot help but move and shake to it's addictive tunes.

The very peppy "It's All About Tonight" from the
Preity Zinta starrer
Ishkq In Paris, contains
an intriguing mix of Hindi, English and French lyrics and a drum and
bass base that colours it as another club anthem. Largely sung by
Sunidhi Chauhan, with backing vocals by Rahul Vaidya and Sophie Choudry,
this Western composition takes a risk - and does not miss. Appealing
and fun, the song has surely set toes tapping at the parties this
summer. If you haven't yet, be sure to have this track in your playlist!

Perhaps a little slower than the other songs, but not any less entertaining is
Fukrey's
"Beda Paar". With Mika Singh and Tarannum Malik at the helm of the
mics, one gets exactly what one expects - a fun roadside Romeo
tapori type
outing compiled of upbeat enthusiasm and head banging beats.
Rhythmically ace with a catchy chorus, and we cannot get enough of it
only because it's summer time!
Of course, there
are many, many more party songs that we love to hear. Songs that make
us sing along and dance, whether in the middle of a dance floor, alone
in our bedrooms, or while taking a shower, but these mentioned above are
only some of BollyCurry's favourites of this summer.
What
about yours? Which song grooved your body on the dance floor? Which
song did you have on constant repeat? What was your party soundtrack
this summer? BollyCurry awaits your feedback!
