Last year with the release of Aisha, Abhay Deol's message was loud and clear - he was not going to let any genre monopolize him, not even the genre of being different. Although the movie fared just averagely, the audience did rave about Abhay pulling off the lover act - including a classic balcony scene!

Now, with his most recent release Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, which makes waves at BO, Deol has earned his acclaim even beside the competitively popular Hrithik Roshan and Farhan AKhtar! Easily, his fame with the girls has gone up several notches!

Consequences?! Here goes the story!

News has had it for a while, that Abhay Deol has been in a relationship with model-actor Preeti Desai for the past few years, and there had even been news of the two getting quietly engaged earlier this year. At that point of rumors afloat, the two were said to be waiting for Preeti's Bollywood debut (Shor n The City) to hit the floors before taking the next step in their personal lives and tying the knot. Post the release, and its average faring at BO, but pronounced critical acclaim, there has been speculation about the duo. And while bachelorhood remains for whatever reason, Deol can't escape the girl fans from wooing him!

One such female fan is heard of having showed up at his Juhu apartment with a bouquet of flowers and a plea on her lips that he marry her! Unfortunately but inevitably turned down on her proposal, the fan didn't back off without getting at least a picture with the actor.

With stardom on the rise and fan girls at his doorstep pulling off the flowers and proposal coup, are these signs that the actor should prioritize settling down?!
