Salman's 'Being Human' expands!

Salman Khan's 'Being Human' charity foundation - which was launched with the objective of helping needy people in any way possible - today expands it's horizons by partnering with the Marrow Donor Registry India (MDRI). It is a symbiotic kind of partnership, wherein both are motivated to create a world-class registry of marrow donors in India for patients who have blood-related illnesses. Being Human and MDRI are primarily targeting the youth by working with colleges to create awareness of the need for such a registry in India.

One of the first colleges to participate in this initiative is the KJ Somaiya Institute of Engineering and IT, Sion. As part of their annual college festival, Surge'11, Somaiya will conduct a marrow donation drive on their premises, along with a 'Marrow - Thon' - a 6 km run showing support for the cause. Surge '11 will be held from March 3rd to March 5th, 2011.
