Rockstar Ranbir serves a Launchpad!

We wonder what Ranbir Kapoor, the young heartthrob for us desi chicks, is up to these days? From what we hear, his schedule is filled to the brim, what with shooting and post-production processes of his upcoming movies- Rajneeti, Anjaana Anjaani, and Rockstar.


Rockstar! Now that one rings a bell, because we recently heard that the dashing Ranbir is getting ready to romance someone new onscreen for this upcoming movie!


Progressive buzz confirms the news. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen opposite a debutant actress named Diana Penty, who is a 25-year old established model. She is quite popular among fashion designers, and thus is trying her luck in the glitzy world of reels, cameras and  some raving filmy fame. She has previously been seen in an advertisement for Virgin Mobile, and has also been seen as an ambassador of a leading cosmetic company.


The director of Rockstar, the reliable Imtiaz Ali (post giving hits like Jab We Met and Love Aaj Kal), was essentially the one to consider pairing Diana Penty opposite Ranbir. Anushka Sharma had initially been considered, but did not remain a part of the race for long. Though Imtiaz had to go through a fairly hesitant process, he is excited with the idea of introducing a newcomer, and hopes the audience will enjoy her character.
