Taaha Shah REVEALS unknown details about Ranchi Diaries

Actor Taaha Shah who will soon be seen in Ranchi Diaries, plays the lead role in the film which is produced by Anupam Kher.

The movie is slated to release on 13th October, 2017. Before this Taaha was seen playing leads in movies like YRF's Luv Ka The End, Dharma Productions Gippi, Excel Entertainment's and Dharma Productions 'Baar Baar Dekho' where he played the role of Sidharth Malhotra's brother.

1. How did Ranchi Diaries happen?

Like they say that some roles find you and you find some roles. But in this case my character Pinku found me and I am very happy it did. Because I had such an immense pleasure while rehearsing, learning and being a part of this film. So I thank Anupam Kher ji for giving me an opportunity and also Sattwik as he is the one who believed in me and that's how I got Ranchi Diaries.

2. What was that one thing that drew you to the project.?

There are so many things that drew me into this project. But if I have to mention one then it's definitely the script and dilect of Ranchi and what sattwik decided to me portray is something really amazing. So these are definitely one of the major things that pulled me towards Ranchi Diaries.

3. How was it sharing screen space with Anupam Kher?

It was a surreal experience. Whenever Kher sahaab is there on sets and we are doing a scene together, it is so intense and so energetic. I wish one day he directs me or atleast he plays my father in a film, I wish that. I mean just sharing a screen space is not enough, I want so much more from him.

4. One quality that you liked and disliked about Anupam Kher.

The one thing I definitely like about Kher Sahab is that he can talk on any subject and he can talk as he knows it and he is part of it. I want that characteristic in me. I would like to have that talent in me. There is nothing i dont like about Kher Sahab.

5. A glimpse of your character.

My character Pinku is a bully of bullies. He is a normal guy who owns a roadside foodstall and makes chowmein. He is a hard worker and wants to start a big restaurant, and name it as 'Godfather Restaurant'. I always wanted to play such guy who is not Glamourous or rich but is as common as every other guy.

6. One thing that you take back from your character

He never panics and with nothing he still is happy in his life and he needs no one to make him cheerful, my character Pinku is always happy and that's the one thing would take back from him.

7. Any wish list or any favorite director or actor you want to work with in the future?

My wish list is very long. But in top of my list I would definitely say that I want to work with Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shoojit Sircar and the actors would be the great Amitabh Bachchan, also with Anupam Kher sahaab again. I would like to work with Aamir Khan as well.
