Shahid Kapoor is all ready for the release of his much-awaited film 'Padmaavat' where he portrays the fierce king Maha Rawal Ratan Singh. Kapoor is known to get into the skin of the character that he plays on screen and is doing the same for his upcoming film 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'.
Reportedly, Kapoor has begun preparing for his next film Batti Gul Meter Chalu where we will see him playing a local boy hailing from Uttarakhand. Firstly, Shahid has hired a coach from Uttarakhand to learn the local language and be perfect with Garhwali accent.
Impressed by Shahid's dedication, producer Prernaa Arora expressed, "I have rarely seen such passion and dedication in any actor. Shahid is completely involved in getting his character right".
She further added, "He is getting the clothes, the body language and the spoken language right. It's very inspiring for a relatively new producer like me to work with an actor so focused. I'm enjoying the experience of working with him".
About the film's development, director Shree Narayan Singh will commence the shooting in Uttarakhand from 1st week of February. The film stars Shraddha Kapoor as the leading lady while Yami Gautam will be playing the second lead.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu will mark Shahid and Shraddha's second collaboration after Haider which went on to become a commercial hit. The film is scheduled to release on 31st August 2018.
