In an interview when Anushka Sharma was asked, is there any role that she would love to recreate if there's a remake of Hindi/ South film? She said, "I love that movie. I think it should be remade in contemporary times and I should do Manisha Koirala's part. I love that character and the way she played it was outstanding."
Currently, the actress is busy shooting for Aanand L Rai's untitled film but, will soon be seen in "Pari" which is her third production with her production house, 'Clean Slate Films'. She released the poster of the same earlier this year that looked spooky and horror.
Talking about "Pari" she said, "If I tell you Pari is a love story, you will be surprised. But it is. It's not something which you can define or confine to one genre. Horror Is always a treatment and atmospheric horror is just brilliant, which is what Pari is all about."
Speaking of the horror genre, the actress stated, "Love stories also don't work at times, but there are lesser examples to make here. So you can say horrorr mein aisa hota hai. This genre isn't one that has been tried-and-tested. I believe it's got an untapped potential. India watches a lot of horrors and it's an interesting space. Horror doesn't always have to be about ghosts coming out of closets. It's a theme. It's the treatment and that's what is exciting. This genre has not been explored too well in Bollywood, which is why I got into this. I want people to always expect the unconventional from me."
