HT Most Stylish Awards 2019

Katrina Kaif

For this black red-carpet outing, Katrina Kaif chose a wine-red Ester Abner gown with a high slit and a drape. She paired the gown with strappy gold heels, glass earrings, and a few rings. Her wavy hair and red lipstick were a perfect finish to this gorgeous look. However, we do feel that Kaif seems to play it safe, as always, and we would love to see something different from her stylist for the event, Chandini Whabi.

Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma attended the event dressed in a Toni Maticeviski all-black gown. She completed the look with a pair of small, dangling earrings, sleek hair, dark smokey eyes, and nude lips. While it was indeed a showstopper look, we do feel that she blended into the black red-carpet. Nonetheless, kudos to her stylist, Allia al Rufai, for adding a bit of sparkle to the look with the earrings and ring from Darshan Dave's Diosa collection.

Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee Pannu is one of the few who went retro with her style and we love it! Pannu wore a white shirt with metallic flared pants designed by Leal Daccarett. Her stylist, Devki Bhatt, chose to leave Pannu's natural curls in place and added a studded choker along with several rings from Outhouse Jewelry. Her Story Jewels, and Anaqa Jewels paired naturally with her metallic black nails. The makeup, though, was a weird affair. We aren't quite sure what look Pannu's makeup artist, Saniya Shadadpuri, was going for, but it did end up looking quite odd.

Diana Penty

Diana Penty graced the event wearing a Dolly J. black gown, with a high slit and shimmer details. Her stylist, Namita Alexander, added strappy black heels, toned-down makeup, nude lips, sleek hair, and zero accessories to complete the look. While this was another case of black on black, Penty stood out because of the design of her high slit dress, and eye-catching shimmers. We did find the orange cheeks a bit odd, but otherwise, a look well done.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

One of the few people to go desi, Kareena Kapoor Khan slayed the event in this Manish Malhotra diamond patterned lehenga. The almost backless blouse looked gorgeous and we loved how the dupatta was a part of the blouse. The look was completed with toned down makeup by the immensely talented Mickey Contractor, a high bun, black rock earrings, and nude lips. No complaints here!

Vicky Kaushal

Vicky Kaushal has been making heads turn with his fashion choices and we have his stylist, Amandeep Kaur, to thank for that. Kaushal was seen sporting a black and white tuxedo by Manish Malhotra, paired with Jimmy Choo loafers. The silver geometric pattern on the tuxedo coat was a unique and nice addition to what could have been an otherwise bland look. Despite the loafers coming across as rather semi-professional, they only served to accentuate the overall look, so we're not one to complain!

Ayushmann Khurrana

Ayushmann Khurrana attended the awards wearing a Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna tuxedo with a gold detailed jacket. He completed the look with black oxfords. While the Article 15 moustache is a downer, the entire look is nicely done. His stylist, Isha Bhansali, did a good job making a rather plain and bland coat stand out against the white shirt.

Awards are always a fashion fiesta and when it's the HT Most Stylish Awards, then it's a double bonanza. Not only are the celebrities dressed in fashion wonders, but they also need to dress their stylish bests to prove that their award was well-deserved. These seven are just some of the top looks of the night. Staying true to the event, celebrities such as Sunny Leone, Akshay Kumar, Aparshakti Khurrana, Shah Rukh Khan, and Sonakshi Sinha showed off their outstanding fashion choices. Also, like at any event, we did have some let-downs, though we will choose not to talk about those today. We do have one request from the event organizers: in the future let the celebs know what colour the red carpet will be so that they don't end up blending with the surrounding.
