Actor's Cousin arrested for threatening to leak intimate clip!

Upcoming actor Taaha Shah, who was seen in films like Gippi and Luv ka The End is making headlines as he had been facing extortion threats from his cousin, Joshua Matthews, against an intimate clip that he shot with his girlfriend, who is also an actress.

As per reports in a leading daily, the complaint was lodged by the accused's father who found out that his son, Taaha's cousin, found the clip on his phone and transferred it to his own via Bluetooth while the actor was away.

Once the clip came into his possession, he demanded 7 lakh rupees from the actor to keep the clip private. However, the actor did not budge. This enraged Joshua even more, who is said to always be in envy of Taaha. Joshua then sent certain still images from the video to Taaha's girlfriend to try and coax her into convincing him to cough up the money.

Realizing that the matters were getting worse, Taaha approached his mother to settle the dispute with her nephew, but Joshua got even more furious and demanded a sum of Rs. One Crore from the actor and his mother!

He even demanded that the mother sell their Versova apartment to pay the amount or else he would go public with the clip and post it on social media which would harm Taaha and his girlfriend's career.

Taaha's mother then informed her brother, Joshua's father about his son's activities and he decided to teach his son a lesson. Joshua's father lodged a police complaint at the Versova police station and Taaha and his mother also accompanied him to give their statements. Joshua was arrested and booked under Indian Penal Code sections and also for Cyber crime.

The video clips, images and the private messages between the accused and the actor have been recovered.
