Sargam is a story of love, strange but beautiful. Hema a beautiful young lady, who is very fond of dancing but she cannot express her desire as she is dumb. She is helpless as her cruel stepmother treats her like a slave. Raju who plays the drums round and about the village, selling joy, happiness and dreams, always keeps within close range of Hema. Eventually both fall in love.
