Jayshree T born in Marathi family, is a Bollywood Actress/Dancer, who is still active in the bollywood movies and some Marathi movies.
She began her career in the mid 1960s as a supporting actress/comedian alongside actors like Mehmood and Jagdeep. She gained more popularity when she started performing item dances in Big-Budget films. Some of her famous dances are Reshmi ujala hai-Sharmilee (1971), Naach meri jaan phataphat-Main Sundar hoon (1971), and Sultana Sultana-Tarana (1979). She has played lead roles in Marathi films like Tooch Maazi Rani with Amol Palekar.
She performed dances in more than 100 films in the 1970s and early 1980s. She was one of the most popular dancers of the time along with Aruna Irani, Kalpana Iyer, Padma Khanna, Asha Sachdev and Prema Narayan.
Some of her notable films include Raaz(1967), Chanda aur bijlee (1970), Jaani Dushman (1979), Shoukeen (1982), Andar Bahar (1985), Ghar Ghar ki kahani (1988) and Ghar ho to aisa (1990).
She received a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award Nomination for her performance in "Resham Ki Dori" in 1975 but lost it to veteran actress Durga Khote.
She is now concentrating on playing character roles. She was seen in films like Yeh raaste hain pyar ke (2001) and Chalte Chalte (2003).
Bhojpuri Films-Bitiya Chalal Sasural, Hamar Bhauji, Ghar Dwar, Sawan Bhado. Currently she is playing role of a Maharashtrian mother in Zee TV serial Dil Se Diya Vachan.
