Hindi film actress Gauri Karnik was born on 20th December in a middle class family. Her father runs a dairy buisness and her mother is a teacher. Gauri completed her graduation from St Xavier's college, majoring in Economics.
The actress is best known for her performance in Sur (2002) and recieved the Star Screen Award's Most Promising Newcomer for Sur. She participated in the Femina Miss India contest and started her career as a model.She also acted in a TV series Sukanya. She has acted in several Hindi movies like Prarambh, Stop, One Fine Monday and has recently acted in one kannadalanguage movie called Kaaranji.
