Ashiesh Roy is an actor. An oft-seen face on the small screen who will be making his debut in films with Shyam Benegal's Netaji. He's also completed Vinta Nanda's White Noise with Rahul Bose, Koel Puri and Dolly Thakore. What makes Ashiesh stand out in a crowd of faces, is his dry wit. He insists that "pleasantly ugly" is a phrase that would aptly describe him. Ashiesh Roy was in a play Thank God Mere India Mein Aisa Nahin Hota at Rangsharda auditorium, with Amit Behl, Jignesh Joshi, Nutan and Niharika.Roy claims there was no friction between him and the production house or the channel. Roy as a Professor Chaudhary in Remix (Star One), Pundarik in Rajaa Mukerji's Prratima (Sahara One), new villain Rajan in Cinevistaas' Aayushman (Sony) and the comic Chungilal in UTV's Kabhi Hero Kabhi Zero (Hungama).
