DJ Bolli' Reviews 2015!

DJ Bolli has been listening to a lot of songs lately and couldn't help but come to critique the lyrics and music filling her ears. The music releases in the past month have been a total mixed bag and while some were beautiful and praise-worthy, others really made DJ Bolli cringe! Today, DJ Bolli has a few such songs in her kitty.

Let's start with Anushka Sharma's NH10. While "Chhil Gaye Naina" stands out to be a killer number, "Khone De" turns out to be a major turn off. Sung by Kanika Kapoor and Dipanshu Pandit, "Chhil Gaye Naina" gets you into the groove of the rocking beat with its amazing composition of trance, rock and an Indian beat. At the same time, when one expected an amazing hit from the rocking combo of Arijit Singh and Neeti Mohan, "Khone De" turned out to be not so rocking! With weird tangents of music and a discordant wailing chorus, all you want to do is turn off the song. What a waste!

Another beautiful song that graced Bollywood recently is "Moh Moh Ke Dhaage" from Dum Laga Ke Haisha sung by Monali Thakur. With a haunting melody and beautiful lyrics, this one turned out to be flawless! DJ Bolli is charmed and definitely hitting that repeat button!

The latest addition to our Bollywood mix is "Calcutta Kiss" from Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! Sung by Imaad Shah and Saba Azad, the music is quirky, energetic and fast paced. Being a party animal, DJ Bolli loves this song personally!

Sung by IJA, the last song that makes it on to DJ Bolli's song edition is "Yang Guang Lives". The song is slow, bland and DJ Bolli has nothing else to say. Period!
