The month of October brings a fresh personality to grace the prestigious
position of an Illuminated Artiste. BollyCurry switches gears to a man that oozes
an aura of distinction; a man who has made his name a household regular and a
man who has defined modern music in the Bollywood industry. That commendable man is no other than
Himesh Reshammiya.

This forty one year old Gujarati began his musical career,
like many others, upon the recognition of
Salman Khan, with the film
Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998) where he composed
the music alongside the likes of Jatin Lalit and Sajid-Wajid. Prior to this, Reshammiya
acted in several television series and had composed and sung the soundtrack for
them all after deciding to take up a musical career at the tender age of eleven
to fulfill his father's dreams.
After his Bollywood break, Reshammiya used this golden
opportunity to build his career on a strong foundation and thus, has since been
rising to the top and vowing to remain on the pinnacle of success. This is
proven by the many awards and accolades that this talented man has garnered in
his sixteen year old career. Initially, he was only recognized as a
music composer after the success of
Tere
Naam (2003) and
Aashiq Banaya Aapne
(2005) until his singing talents took the driver's seat after churning out
major hits as a playback singer in
Aashiq
Banaya Aapne.
This paved way to a path that led Reshammiya to produce hits as both,
a music composer and playback singer for various blockbusters
including
Bodyguard (2011),
Khiladi 786 - Made in Punjab (2012),
Kick
(2014) and
Humshakals (2014).
However, Reshammiya has also proved that he possessed an acting bone after he
debuted in
Aap Kaa Surroor - The Real Love Story in 2007.
Till date,
Himesh Reshammiya is known as a music director,
writer, singer, actor, producer and lyricist after acquiring success in all
these areas. To commemorate the occasion, BollyCurry has compiled a short list
of Reshammiya's most successful soundtracks.

There's no doubt that

hits in his kitty, here's wishing that there are many more for decades to come.
