As we ring in the New Year with new resolutions, new cheers, and new
hopes and aspirations, Bollywood is doing the same. 2015 will
see another talented small screen actor make his debut on the silver
screen. Sharing the screen with Bollywood's Bengali bombshell, Bipasha
Basu, is Karan
Singh Grover, a man who has won many accolades for his spectacular
performances in popular TV shows such as
Dill Mill Gayye and
Qubool Hai.
Alone is a horror
film directed by Bhushan Patel and produced by Panorama Studios. The album
comprises of four tracks, and as usual, BollyCurry takes pleasure in bringing
you the review.
The album opens with
Mithoon's "Awaara", a soft and
compelling track that rides on an electric background score.
Altamash Faridi
along with Saim Bhatt, lend their powerful vocals for the song. This is
definitely one for the playlists.
Up next is the soulful "Katra Katra". It's composed by Ankit
Tiwari, sand he teams up with Prakriti Kakar to do wonders with the
vocals. With less instrumentals and more vocalities, the track is amazing for
stress therapy.
Taking things a notch higher is "Chand Aasmano Se Laapata".
Bhaven Dhanak's beautifully soothing voice serves to enhance Jeet Ganguli's
music. The song is perfect for a relaxing session as it keeps a low key on the
piano with some gracefully incorporated drumming.
"Touch My Body" concludes the album. Definitely the most up-tempo
track of the album, it's composed by Dr. Zeus and
Raghav Sachar. The
talented
Aditi Singh Sharma lends her
unique voice for the slightly erotic number. Although the track is
groove
worthy, there's nothing particularly refreshing about it. This one could
be given a skip!
The album is average
at best, but this only raises the expectations for the film. Alone is slated to be released on the 16th
of January and BollyCurry encourages you all to catch the movie in theatres
near you. We wish the entire team all the very best for the film and special
wishes for Karan Singh Grover to have a fruitful career in Bollywood.
