Happy Birthday for Ash?

She may be Mummy Bachchan now but it looks as if Aishwariya is all set to dust off her acting shoes if the latest buzz is anything to go by.

Apparently Sriram Raghavan (Agent Vinod) is looking to cast the pretty actress in his directorial venture, Happy Birthday, which would co-star Shahrukh Khan.  The movie is a sci-fi flick, which will see the two actors come together after a decade, their last film together being Devdas all the way back in 2002.

Apparently, Director Raghavan had originally hoped to see the movie hit the big screen with Ash opposite John Abraham.  But with a few script changes also came the need for a different type of actor, in this case SRK, who is quite eager to work with Aishwariya after such a long time.

However, Ash also has other options to choose from, one of them being Bhansali's very ambitious Bajirao Mastani.  But as that has yet to materialise, it seems as if it may very well be Raghavan who re-launches Aishwariya post-pregnancy.

Currently the director is looking forward to the release of his thriller, Agent Vinod, starring Saif Ali Khan in March. He is eager to start pre-production for Happy Birthday shortly following this and if all goes to plan, Happy Birthday will boast a budget that will even eclipse the 60-crore one of Agent Vinod.
