India movies are filled with an expanse of music, vibrant colour and eye-popping scenery. But shooting in icy mountains and over grassy hills is not without its dangers, as actress Celina Jaitley recently learnt.
Currently busy with her Kannada movie, Jaitley luckily escaped falling from a great height in to a shallow rocky sea after a camera buggy swung out of control and caused the actress to topple. Barely managing to grab a buggy rung, Celina again lost her footing but was saved by camera assisstant Ram Gopal Mishra who grabbed and saved her in the nick of time.
Titled Shrimathi and loosely based on
Aitraaz, Celina's offering to Kannada cinema sees her as a woman who has no qualms about getting what she wants. The director was eager to base her look on immortal glamorous heroines such as Parveen Babi and
Zeenat Aman - style icons of their time in the 80s. To do this, Celina was promptly sent designer shopping and ended up with all her costumes from Bankgok and Paris.
