IIFA will be missed by Akshay too

Bollycurry gave you the sad news of Shahid Kapoor missing IIFA awards this year. Now, sadly we have to be the bearer of another sad news… Akshay Kumar will not make it to IIFA either.

Before you start shouting, just hear him out…

Akshay is a family man. He has a wife and a son… Aarav. Aarav has summer holidays and Papa Kumar has promised son that he would take him to all the places he wants to go this summer. So, as Cliff Richard says

"Everybody has a summer holiday, doin' things they always wanted to So we're going on a summer holiday, to make our dreams come true…"

Seems like Akshay will be singing this to his son.

But then again, is it so difficult to come to Macau, China, where the IIFA will be held this year, for just one night? Akshay doesn't feel that possible either. He wants an uninterrupted holiday with his son and he will not let anything and anybody come between that.

Well, guess we have to cut him some slack this time. After all, although his performance will be highly missed, we must accept the fact that his heart lies in his family.

Let us, then, enjoy the Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani riotous-duo hosting the show like last year and amazing performances by Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and the likes. The show will be held in the Venetian Macau Resort on the 13^th of this month.

Do send your regards and wishes for Akshay's trip with son. And if you miss him … don't worry … Kambakkht Isq, his upcoming movie might be just worth the wait!
