Aish VS Sonam: Battle to Cannes

For a long time it was Aishwarya Rai who represented the face of India on an international platform. So when Sonam Kapoor was asked to be a brand ambassador for L'Oreal, the actress started to count her stars. If this was not enough to get this young lass excited, an invitation to walk the red carpet at Cannes sure was. She was supposed to be the youngest member to join the L'Oreal Paris dream team which includes notable beauties such as Aishwarya Rai, Naomi Lenoir, Penelope Cruz, Andie MacDowell, Laetitia Casta, Kerry Washington, Milla Jovovich, Michelle Yeoh, Beyonce Knowles, Eva Longoria and Scarlett Johansson.

The excited Sonam Kapoor could not help but share the news with rest of the world. However in the process, she highly offended Aish ma'am when she said while she endorses the youth brand, the beautiful Aishwarya endorses product for older woman ( cough cough anti-aging cream). Few days later it was announced Sonam will not join the other beautiful ladies on the red carpet.

According to sources Aishwarya has refused to share the limelight with Sonam. She does not mind if Sonam endorses the brand in India but she would like to be the only one representing India on the international platform. Meanwhile, Aishwariya's spokesperson denies having any involvement in this issue.
