Bleeding Bollywood...

The tussle between the distributors and multiplexes due to the profit sharing matter has been causing Bollywood to bleed. In this recent statement by Mukesh Bhatt, the chairBollywood Bleedingman of the United Forum for Bollywood Producers and Distributors, he commented on the losses being incurred by the investors and producers due to which the work in the film industry is going downhill.

The producers decided to suspend all marketing and distribution of all new films set to release from April 4, this year onwards. Huge losses are being incurred due to the delay in film releases. There has been no hit, this year, and combined with the movie shoots being stalled, it seems hell has broken lose for the movie human resources.  The only major film released in the first half of this year was Billu (Barber being removed from the name). This movie was a hit but its magnitude was nothing compared to the bigsters last year like Jodha Akbar and Race.

The profit sharing problem of such enormity has been trickling down to the work force of the industry. Only time will say what it has in store for the biggest entertainment industry in the world after Hollywood.

What do you think... can the industry come out of these dark days and see a new light where harmony ruled and it was movies that made news instead of pains and problems behind the scenes?
