Priyanka opposite Ranbir!

Siddharth Anand's next project is a romantic comedy that will be produced by Sajid Nadiawala and will star the dusky damsel Chopra opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

Both director and producer wanted a fresh pair and thus zeroed in on Priyanka. However, rumors were rife a few days ago that Priyanka had earlier turned down the project. In fact, so had many other actresses once they were told that they would have to put on weight for the movie as the original storyline revolved around a fat girl and a good-looking boy. After the refusals, Siddharth abandoned the earlier script and moved on to another project, though it remains a romantic comedy.

The movie is likely to be shot in the U.S.A. and whilst Ranbir and Priyanka have been confirmed for their respective roles, Siddarth is tight-lipped about the details, only revealing that it's a romantic comedy with a twist.
