Fresh On Screen Couples 2017

Bollywood has always been known for its experimentation when it comes to leading couples, and 2017 seems to be no different. There are several onscreen couples which the audience fell in love with, and some may even resort to downloading a few wallpapers, but somewhere down the line we always crave for new couples who can enthral us with their sizzling chemistry and onscreen romance. This new year offers us a few pairings, who would be working together for the first time.

Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut

One of the most talked about movies of the year is Rangoon, which brings Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut together for the first time. While Kapoor was last seen in Udta Punjab (2016), Ranaut, although away from movies, did remain in the news for all the wrong reasons. Nevertheless, Rangoon brings two fine actors of Bollywood together; and we definitely cannot wait to see them burn the screen.

Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam

Kaabil, starring the handsome Hrithik Roshan and the pretty Yami Gautam, released on the 25th of January. The movie has already gained much popularity, not only for the story but also, for the visible chemistry between the lead actors. We definitely have high hopes from this stunning couple!

Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon

Sushant Singh Rajput has been riding high on success after his last movie, M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016). Kriti Sanon has already proved herself as a fine actor with movies like Heropanti (2014) and Dilwale (2015) in her kitty. Soon, we will see these two young actors coming together with Raabta, which is all set to release during Valentine's Day week. We sure hope that this pair pleasantly surprises us!

Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi

An actor who has had an opportunity to work with most Bollywood actresses is Akshay Kumar. He would be coming together with Huma Qureshi in Jolly LLB 2. Kumar can definitely pull off any role, and he compliments his leading ladies well. Therefore, we just cannot wait to watch him romance Qureshi as well.

Diljit Dosanjh and Anushka Sharma

As we speak of unusual pairings, we cannot miss Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh who will grace the big screen together with Sharma's home production movie, Phillauri. Now what is so unusual about this pair? Well, Sharma plays a ghost in the movie, and it will definitely be fun to watch them romance each other, as we anticipate the outcome of the movie!

Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor

The Kapoor duo comes back with a bang with a movie based on Chetan Bhagat's novel, Half Girlfriend, of the same name. Interestingly, Mr. Kapoor was seen in 2 States (2014), which was also based on Chetan Bhagat's book of same name; and turned out to be quite a hit. We do hope that the Kapoor duo will win our hearts with their impeccable acting and, of course, undeniable chemistry!

Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra

Khurrana and Chopra are making a comeback after quite some time with Yash Raj's Meri Pyaari Bindu. While Khurrana was last seen in Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015), Chopra was featured in a cameo role in Dishoom (2016). With two amazing actors coming on board with the Yash Raj banner, we sure can hope for some enthralling fireworks, chemistry and passion!

Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandes

We have already seen that awkward chemistry between the couple when they featured on screen for the first time on Koffee with Karan. Now, we will see them together in Reloaded. With Malhotra playing cop for the first time, we are definitely going to witness some action. Combined with romance, the audience can hope for some captivating scenes this time, with less awkward chemistry, of course.

Shah Rukh Khan & Mahira Khan

King of romance, Shah Rukh Khan, can most certainly create chemistry with any actress. Pakistani actress, Mahira Khan, is all set to make her Bollywood debut. The talented duo are coming together in Raaes, which released this January. The movie has been in the news for various reasons - cast, story, growing tensions between the two nations, and not forgetting, the pairing. The trailer has already taken the masses by storm, with the Khans weaving magic. We are certain they will continue to win hearts!

From the looks of things, this year surely looks fantastic with these new pairings that are ready to grace the screens. Over the years, we have received various memorable and legendary couples onscreen, and we surely hope 2017 is no different!
