Bollywood movies are always treated as larger than life fairytales.
In real life, the
hunt for Mr. Right and Ms. Perfect begins right from teenage. The
damsels
dream of their prince charming with chivalrous attitude and six pack abs
as he makes his way in a
charismatic entry and a shining armour. On the other hand, the dudes
desire
for their Ms. Perfect with a caring attitude, who keeps herself in the
best mannered etiquette. It is Bollywood that makes us believe that
fairytales ending with a 'happily ever after' exist in real life too.
This love season,
BollyCurry is making an attempt to feature some actresses who would fit
inch-by-inch into the stories we have heard from our grandmothers in our
childhood. Read on to know which actress would best fit into the shoes
of a fairy!
"I enjoy getting dressed as a Barbie doll." -
Barbie

First on our
list is the 'Barbie Doll' of Indian cinema,
Katrina Kaif. That perfect
pout, a toned body, flawless skin, dark brown eyes and wavy long hair,
what else need a man would ask for? Kaif is every man's
dream girl, a trait also owned by barbie because she is just so gorgeous. According to a research, Barbie's body
structure is realistically unattainable, but who would deny that Kaif is the perfect representation for a Barbie
doll?
"Mirror, mirror, and
here I stand. Who is the fairest in the land?" -
Snow White

We decided to present
Alia Bhatt as Snow White, the German fairytale
princess. The young and chirpy actress looks much like the little snow white
from the fairytale
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The spark in
her eyes and the extrovert
attitude she keeps, makes her the cutest and the most adorable of all
beauties. Just as Snow White, Bhatt knows how keep the men under
control.
"Cinderella is proof that a new pair of shoes can change your
life." -
Cinderella
The most wanted princess of all time is definitely Cinderella.
The tall and fair beauty, the one who would look just beautiful in a
long blue dress and a shoe, can be none other than Jacqueline Fernandes. Cinderella
was the one whose attributes were unrecognised until when she gets her
right shoes. Her stunning beauty is undeniable even if she is asked to
wear rags or do the worst chores, and this is the ideal sketch of
Fernandez.
"How
dare you! All of you! Standing around deciding my future! I am not a prize to
be won!" -
Jasmine

A princess with a strong will power who lives her life free spirited is Jasmine from the Arabic fairytale
Aladdin.
The actress who could do justice to this headstrong character is
Anushka Sharma. In the news for her recent plastic make over, Sharma now claims to have it
all. Whether on or off screen, Sharma's bold yet modern outlook gels well with Jasmine. Besides, she has found her
Aladdin too!
"Please,
just stay away from me!" -
Snow Queen, Elsa

The damsel in distress,
Shraddha Kapoor happens to be our
Frozen Snow Queen, Elsa.
Fondly known for her bubbly yet emotional persona, Kapoor matches up to
the delicate Elsa who although may seem fearful of harming others
unintentionally, still carries a confident approach.
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair so that I may climb the golden chair." -
Rapunzel

Last one for this fairytale segment is the fashionista-actress,
Sonam Kapoor.
With grace, elegance and glitter in her veins she is the
one playing Rapunzel for us. Outspoken in nature, lustrous hair, awesome
body vitals, she is
the one who will make her presence noticeable even in a crowd. This
Kapoor is perfect as Rapunzel because she certainly possesses the traits
of attracting men towards her, even if she is locked up in a tower!
With
this we come an end of our fairytale saga with Bollywood's leading
actresses. We at BollyCurry hope that these actresses are soon star cast
in the Bollywood remakes of these fairytales! What's your opinion on
the choice of fairies? Let us know in the comment box below!
