History is a testimonial of the fact that many Bollywood
movies have propelled into popularity simply because of their stellar
soundtracks. After all, it is not possible to imagine a Bollywood movie without
songs. While albums of movies like
Ek Villain (2014),
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995)
and
Sholay (1975) have been iconic for their mesmerising songs, there are also a
number of albums which come with a title track, and many of these stay
with us through the years. For the uninitiated, title tracks are those songs
which contain the title of the movie as a sentence in the song, and their
titles are the same as that of the movie. In this edition of Yo Mr DJ!, we at
BollyCurry explore some of the most iconic title tracks that have
stayed with us all this time.
