It's Halloween time; the perfect occasion to don those
costumes and masks that you have kept stashed in your closet and have
been waiting to wear all year. To lend a helping hand to our dear
Bollywood stars who may be wondering what to wear for this year's
Halloween parties, BollyCurry is here with a list of costume
suggestions.
The
one star whose attire choice requires the least amount of effort is
King Khan himself. After lending his voice to the superhero in the
Disney animated film The Incredibles (2004), Khan can don the
red and black costume of Mr Incredible to the Halloween bash. The
Badshah can also don a black cape and transform into another superhero
he portrayed in a live action movie - the infamous Mohabbat Man from Om Shanti Om (2007). Both these superheros' costumes have a red and black color scheme. What a coincidence!
For Bollywood's dimpled Dreamy Girl, who played a ghost in her debut movie, what can be a better costume than that of a Desi ghost?!
Clad in a White saree, with long black hair cascading down, Padukone
can sure make our blood run cold. Add to that some totally
Exorcism-esque antics a la the Chennai Express (2013) dream/nightmare sequence, she might just be the scariest of all!
A bang-on costume for
Hrithik Roshan is that of Krish - the first
Desi superhero, whom he has played in two movies till now. The mask that highlights his dreamy brown eyes and the flowing cape
which gels well with his larger than life persona form the perfect
choice for Roshan. He is one actor who can pull off any superhero
costume - be it Krish or a Western Superhero such as Captain America,
owing to his superb physique.
The reigning star of Bollywood's horror film genre
Bipasha Basu has shown her acting chops as the scream queen of silver screen, right from her early years as actress to her most recent release
Creature (2014). A fitting costume for this Bong beauty is that of Storm from the
X-men series.
This may well prove to be a welcome relief for Basu, as she will for
once get to be the creature/mutant and not remain a damsel in distress
forever.
Who would've ever thought that the Indian Police uniform would come to be the ultimate epitome of
being macho; well, that's what happens when
Salman Khan himself dons
the Khaki. For someone whose portrayal transformed an ordinary police
officer into an iconic one, any Western superhero costume will fall
short. Hence, a police uniform in which the belt is more essential than
the cap, and a pair of Rayban aviators is all it would take for Khan to
get ready for the party!
This
Mumbaikar with South Indian roots looks breathtaking in traditional
Indian wear and often sticks to it to avoid fashion faux-pas. Keeping in
mind her stunning performance in
Bhool Bulaiyya (2007), the best choice for
Vidya Balan is a Bharatnatyam costume with antique jewelery, a smudged
bindi and disheveled hairstyle. Add a pair of light brown lenses and Balan is ready to be the belle of the Ball.
One
of Bollywood's most talented actor with amazing comic timing, a great
Halloween costume for
Govinda is of the nefarious villain, Joker, from
the Batman Comics. Granted he does not seem to have the menacing persona
of the legendary villain, but if the glimpses of the grey shaded
character he portrays in
Kill Dill (2014) are anything to go by,
he can very well embody the Batman villain with a sadistic humor sense.
Add to this, he is the only person in Bollywood who can pull off a
purple jacket and a colorful vest with striped trousers; almost a subtle
choice when compared to the colorful wardrobe of his 90's blockbusters.
The
armor of Ironman, whose flamboyance and devil-may-care attitude is
something that he is known for, is the best attire for
Akshay Kumar.
Though any superhero costume will suit Kumar, as he follows a strict
workout regime to pack a punch at any time, the sheer bravado that
Ironman has to reveal his identity to the world is something that only
the Khiladi can muster.
As
the Bollywood Halloween Ball is bound to have a lot more attendees than
the stars named above, here are a few more costume choices for those
who may be in attendance - a Naagin attire for Mallika Sherawat
(Hiss...anyone?), a Vampire cape for Emraan Hashmi (given his fondness
of women's decollete) and the Wolverine claws for the well-built John
Abraham. We are sure there are a lot more Bollywood
celebrities you would like to see don a Halloween attire. Let us know
about those actors and your choice of a perfect costume for them in the
comments section below!
