Amitabh Bachchan, fondly known as Big B,

Ronit Roy, the Shahenshah of Indian television!
Born
on 11th October 1965,
Ronit Roy is the eldest son of Brothindranath and
Dolly Bose Roy. Rohit Roy, also a TV and Bollywood actor, is his
younger brother. Roy initially studied hotel management before moving to
Mumbai. He stayed at
Subhash Ghai's house, where he was slowly
introduced to the film industry. He is married to Neelam Singh. He has 2
daughters and a son. Roy started his career with
Jaan Tere Naam (1992),
which was a commercial success. He went on to star in many hit movies
including
Hulchul (1995),
Army (1996), and
Khatron Ke Khiladi (2001).
Roy became well known due to his role in Ekta Kapoor's
Kasautii Zindagii
Kay and then went on to become a hit in fiction shows with superhit
roles in
Kyunki Sas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kavyanjali, Bandini, and the
currently airing
Adaalat. He also took part in
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa
(2007). Roy has come back to movies as well, winning Filmfare Best
Supporting Actor Award for his role of Bhairav Singh in
Udaan (2010). He
was well-appreciated for his role in
Student of the Year (2012), his
villainous role in
Boss (2013), and his role as Krish's father in
2
States (2014). He has
Ugly and
Guddu Rangeela in the pipeline and both
are set to release today.

with his supporting role in
Anand (1971). He also played a villainous
role in Parwaana (1971), which was much appreciated, but his biggest
break came with
Zanjeer (1973), which also earned him the persona of
"angry young man". Bachchan has had many superhit movies in his long
