
Today, BollyCurry gathers its readers to celebrate the
birthday of the well known radio jockey and television host,
Manish Paul.
Paul was born on August 3rd 1981 to a
Punjabi
family in Mumbai. The family subsequently moved to Delhi, where Paul did
his
schooling from Apeejay School, New Delhi. He later pursued his Bachelors
of Art in tourism at the University of Delhi. In 2007, Paul tied the
knot with his childhood sweetheart Sanyukta and the beautiful couple has a daughter, Saisha.
Paul started his career in Delhi, as a host in schools and
colleges. He later shifted to Mumbai, where he got his first role on television
as a host on
Sunday Tango with Star
Plus in 2002. This multi-talented actor also tried his hand as a VJ for Zee Music
and as a radio jockey for Radio City's morning show,
Kasakai Mumbai. He acted in
various shows for many Hindi GEC's such as
Radhaa
Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi (NDTV),
Zindagi
(Zee Next),
Ssshhh...Phir Koi Hai (Star
One),
Wheel Ghar Ghar Mein,
Kahani Shuru with Love Guru (Zee TV) and
Kuchh Cook Hota Hai (9x). Paul quit daily
shows in 2008 as he found it unsatisfying. He did a small cameo in
Farah Khan's
Tees Maar Khan (2010), which later paved
the way for another cameo in
AnyBody Can Dance (2013).
He debuted in Bollywood as a main lead with
Mickey
Virus (2013), where he played the role of a computer geek. He also sung "Pyaar
China Ka Maal Ha" for his debut film as a main lead. His future projects
include a lead role in
Tere Bin Laden 2,
the sequel to the super-hit
Tere Bin Laden (2010).
Apart from television and films, the dashing star has hosted many TV
award shows and reality shows such
as Sa
Re Ga Ma Pa Chhote Ustaad,
Dance
India Dance Li'l Masters (Zee TV). In 2011, he won the Best Anchor award for
hosting Zee TV's
Dance India Dance Li'l
Masters. He also hosted previous seasons of
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa with
Ragini Khanna (Season 5) and
Kapil Sharma
(Season 6). He currently hosts Colors' popular dance reality show,
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 alongside
Ranvir Shorey
and
Science of Stupid on Natural
Geographic India.
