Happy Birthday Katrina Kaif!

Welcome to the birthday celebration of an extremely gorgeous and beautiful actress whose jawani is fondly identified as Sheila or chikni chameli in Bollywood. Yes, 16th July marks the birthday of the barbie doll, Katrina Kaif!

Kaif was born as Katrina Torquotte on 16^th July 1983 to a Muslim-British businessman, Mohammed Kaif and to an English lawyer and charity worker, Susanna Torquotte. She has three older sisters (Stephanie, Christine and Natasha), three younger sisters (Melissa, Sonia and Isabel), and an older brother named Michael.

The dazzling star started her career with modeling at the age of 14 and started working professionally for various agencies. She appeared many a times at the London Fashion Week where she was spotted by Kaizad Gustad - the man who casted Kaif in her debut movie Boom (2003) alongside big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Gulshan Grover and Jackie Shroff. The film and Kaif's acting failed to impress the audience and the critics, although she did get recognition in the South with Malliswari (2004) opposite to Daggubati Venkatesh.

In 2005, Kaif appeared in Sarkar as Abishek Bachchan's girlfriend and during the course of the same year, she featured in her first big Hindi film, Maine Pyar Kyun Kya? opposite Salman Khan and Sohail Khan. Her performance was applauded by the audience and critics as well. However, it's the 2007 flick Namastey London opposite Akshay Kumar that brought a change in Kaif's career: for the first time, she had a dominant role in the film. Since then, the pretty lass tasted success with some commercially and some critically acclaimed hits including Partner (2007), Welcome (2007), Race (2008), Singh is Kinng (2008), New York (2009), Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009), Raajneeti (2010), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011). Kaif also performed the popular item song Chikni Chameli in Agneepath(2012).

Her success continued with three big hits: Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) and Dhoom 3 (2013) opposite Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan respectively.

On the personal font, the beautiful lady is reportedly dating her Raajneeti co-star Ranbir Kapoor but the duo have not admitted anything publicly, yet.

Apart from Kaif's work in Hindi films, she participates in various charitable ventures. She is also actively involved in her mother's charitable trust fund, the Relief Projects India, which rescues abandoned baby girls and prevents female infanticide.
