Hooda
was born on 20th August 1976, in Rohtak, to a
doctor father and social worker mother. He started acting in school
productions
at a young age and this paved his ambition to become the actor he is
today. He finished his MBA in Melbourne, Australia and returned to India
to model and act in plays while he made his Bollywood debut in Mira
Nair's

in Ram Gopal Varma's
Dwhich earned him the much needed critical acclaim. He
worked in a few more movies but it was his ACP Wilson's role in Milan Lutharia's
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai which was the real turning point in career.
Hooda also left his mark in the romantic thriller
Saheb Biwi and Gangster and
Jannat 2. He appeared in the erotic
thriller
Jism 2 with Sunny Leone,
Heroine where he was paired opposite Kareena Kapoor and the successful franchise,
Murder 3. He will soon be seen in the Salman Khan starrer,
Kick.
Hooda is an
active member of Naseerudin Shah's Motley Theatre Troupe. He made his
debut as a theatre writer where he adapted Lee Blessing's A Walk in the Woods, and is
the only Bollywood actor who participates professionally in polo and show
jumping.
