'Having a mother is
even better than having a superhero'. These words couldn't be truer. 'Mother'.
That one word holds so many facets within itself, a few of them being 'a true
friend', 'a guide', and 'an inspiration'. In this month of Mothers Day
celebrations, BollyCurry brings to you the divine mothers who have made what
today we know as the superstars of Bollywood.
Kareena
Kapoor, Karisma Kapur and Babita Kapoor

This mother isn't anything
short of a legend! By breaking all traditions of the Kapoor family she
constantly supported her daughters who became the first women in the
family to
join Film City.
Karisma Kapoor being the oldest daughter, ventured out
and carved
a niche for herself in the film fraternity and following behind her was
Kareena
Kapoor, the younger one, who did the same for herself. While Karisma
married an industrialist and now has a daughter and a son, Kareena went
on to marry Saif Ali Khan,
and is now also a step-mother to his children. An inspiration for them,
their
mother Babita, starred in movies such as
Aulad,
Raaz and
Dus Lakh. This mother-daughter trio is one of a kind because they
are away from the cameras yet are talked about the most!
Ranbir had often asked his
mother while he was younger whether his mother loved his older sister more to
which Neetu would always say that she loves Riddhima just two years more than
him. Now, isn't that just adorable? Neetu has always adored and stood by Ranbir
Kapoor, be it his link-ups with actresses or break-ups, or the ups and downs in
his career the mom has always been there for him.
Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu
Kapoor recently even performed at the 19th Colors Screen Awards 2013. Ranbir's
latest movie
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is ready to be released as fans and
critics wait anxiously for this movie.
Ranbir Kapoor is proudly the
daal chaawal type
of a boy, who needs a girl in his life who can love him and respect his
decisions, at least that's how his mother imagines the Kapoor
bahu. While talking about supermoms, how can one forget
Jaya Bachchan, who has always been the support system for her children,
Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan-Nanda. The mother-son
jodi first appeared on screen in a Bengali
film,
Desh, in 2002, with Jaya
Bachchan playing the role of the mother of NRI son which was played by none
other than Abhishek. Often, audiences confuse
Laaga Chunari Main Daag as their first
starred movie. Although, Abhishek's role in
Desh was almost insignificant, it still
counts as their first movie together.
Abhishek Bachchan who is now a father of
Aaradhya Bachchan understands the importance of parents and likes to spend as
much time with family as possible.
Esha Deol and Hema Malini
The Dreamgirl of Bollywood, a.k.a
Hema Malini is
the proud mother of two daughters - Esha and Ahana Deol. The older of the two, Esha,
recently got married to Bharat Takhtani and the media covered that event from
all angles. Hema was seen around Esha at all times, present to make sure that
her daughter was doing fine on her big day. Although the mother-daughter duo
have appeared in adverts together, Esha and Hema, have yet to star together in
a movie and the audience awaits their dance recital too.
Kajol
Devgn, Tanisha Mukherjee and Tanuja

Kajol Devgn, a mother of two herself, is the next
on this list of super kids, belonging to the super mom - Tanuja. Her parents
had separated at a very young age but that did not affect
Kajol or sister
Tanisha Mukherjee in any way.
Kajol was stubborn as well as an impulsive kid.
Kajol and Tanisha had grown up in the diversity of two different cultures,
Maharashtrian from Tanuja whereas, Bengali from the father. Tanuja, being an actress herself,
understands her children extremely well and is the perfect support system.
Kajol and Tanishaa too, spend time with their mother whenever possible, as seen
in a recent award function where Tanuja received the Lifetime Achievement
award.
While there are a lot more mother-children pairs in
Bollywood, BollyCurry has chosen to dedicate a little to the super moms
who have made their kids what they are today!
Do let us
know who your favorite supermom is! And be sure to let your own mom, who
is no less then a superwoman, know how much you love and appreciate
her!Author: Saraa K.
