Ever watched a movie that made you feel like traveling all the way to
the place where the scene was picturised? Of course! Everyone feels
that quite often! Bollywood is famous from the time it started for
shooting in the prettiest locations around the world. Hence today,
BollyCurry
brings to you some of the most exquisite outdoor locations which were
all shot and
shown capturing the beautiful season of Spring.

First in our list is the lovely country
Australia.
Chak De India (2007)
was such a movie that was majorly shot in Aussie country where the second half focused on the Women's Hockey World Cup. The
daytime scenes were shot in State Netball Hockey Centre, Royal Park and
Parkville in Melbourne, while the nighttime scenes were shot in various places all
around Sydney. Also, the scene when the team arrived in Australia
was shot at the Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne.

Another film which was entirely shot in the various locations of Australia is
Salaam Namaste (2005). One of the most famous locations was the Silence Sculpture and Docklands
Precinct in Melbourne during the song "What's Going On".
Players (2012) may not have been a hit, but the locations it was shot in
are quite popular. Scenes were shot at City to Sea Bridge, Okarito Lagoon, Te
Papa's Awesome Forces Museum, Cuba Mall, Tulsi Indian restaurant, and Wellington
Airport.

The first movie ever to
be shot in
Brazil was
Dhoom 2 (2006).
Remember the song "Excuse Me Too Please"? This song was shot at the famous
Copacabana Beach and beneath the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro.
Bipasha Basu is also seen walking along the Brazilian Sea in her introduction scene
as Monali, amongst many other locations captured in the movie.

Now we come to
Toronto,
where three big movies were shot:
Taal (1999),
Kismat Konnection (2008) and
Thank You (2011).
Taal
was shot at the famous CN Towner, Niagara Falls, and Toronto
Islands during the scenes where Aishwariya Rai Bachchan and
Anil Kapoor
visit Canada for their big international performance. The final
performance of "Ishq
Bina" was shot at Rogers Centre.
Kismat
Konnection was shot majorly in downtown Toronto where
Shahid Kapoor's house
was actually someone's real house. There
were also scenes shot at Niagara Falls. While
Thank You was not actually shot in Canada,
Sonam Kapoor's scene of attempt of committing suicide was also shot at Niagara Falls.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011)
was a road movie that
was shot completely in
Spain. The scene where the leads,
Hrithik Roshan,
Abhay Deol, and
Farhan Akhtar, arrived in Barcelona was shot at the Barcelona El Prat
Airport.
Katrina Kaif's introductory scene was shot on a nude beach where
beach-goers
were restricted from the frames to avoid censors. The La Tomatina
festival shot in "Ik Junoon" was shot in Bunol while "Senorita" was shot
in the town
of Alajar in the province of Huelva, where the townspeople and mayor
joined in
wearing costumes. The climax of the scene was shot at Pamplona. Adding
ice to the cake, there were many
locations of Brazil too shown in the movie. This was one such movie that
gave equal priority to the locations shot apart from the story so one
could really get the feel of the locations as well.

Moving on, do u remember
Priyanka Chopra
emerging from the water wearing a golden swimsuit? This famous scene and this
famous movie,
Dostana (2008), was shot in
the warm and lovely city of
Miami, USA. Miami first appeared in the movie
during the song "Shut Up & Bounce" at Bayfront Park. The movie was also
shot on Biscayne Boulevard, Brickell, Coral Gables in the Park, and South Beach
Ocean Drive. In fact, the whole team of
Dostana stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in
downtown Miami.

While in USA, how can we forget
the city that never sleeps, the Big Apple -
New York City. Two of the most known movies shot there
are
Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003) and
English Vinglish (2012). Whether it be Preity
Zinta's introduction scene or the scene where
Saif Ali Khan expresses his love
for
Preity Zinta, the entire movie was shot in NYC, except for a few
scenes which were shot in Toronto due to the high shooting costs of the Manhattan town.
English Vinglish was shot
mainly in two parts. The first half was in Mumbai which introduced all of
the characters. It then shifted to New York City as per script where we got to see
the majority of the story unfold as Shashi toured NYC and learned
English. The most famous shots were considered to be that of Brooklyn Bridge,
Manhattan Municipal Building, The Globe at Columbus Circle and Times Square.
Ek Tha Tiger's
"Laapata" song was shot in various places all
over
Cuba. While this song would be considered a quite summery,
BollyCurry chooses
this to let you know that this is the first time ever a Bollywood movie
was shot in Cuba. "Laapata" was shot at the Cathedral of Havana, El
Morro Fortress,
Maximo Gomez Monument, National Capitol Building, Old Square (Plaza
Vieja), El
Castillo De Cojimar, and El Malecon. All these places are located in
Havana,
except for El Castillo De Cojimar which is located in Cojimar.

The beautiful city of
Paris, the night life, and the Eiffel Tower. This sets the scene for our next
two movies:
An Evening in Paris (1967) and
Sangam (1964). These movies were two of the
first few movies that were shot abroad, and that too in the beautiful city of Paris, France.
An Evening in Paris's famous song "Deewane Ka Naam Toh Poochho" was
shot at the Eiffel Tower, Pont Alexandre III, and the Louvre Palace.
Sangam had an extended honeymoon
sequence that was shot in many countries abroad, including Paris. The most
famous scene was under the Eiffel Tower, which in a way kick-started the trend of
shooting romantic sequences abroad, especially under the Eiffel Tower.

Now we reach the beautiful
country of
South Africa where movies such as
Race (2008), and
Hera Pheri(2000) were shot. From the horse race to the fall from the roof,
Race was partly filmed in Durban during
much of the first half of the movie. The Stallions office was actually Hotel Hilton
which is located in Durban and the attack on
Bipasha Basu in the parking lot
was shot at Hotel Royal also in Durban.
Hera
Pheri's "Dene Wala Jab Bhi Deta" song was shot in Sun City, which is in the
northwest province of South Africa.

And bringing our list towards its needed end, we bring to
you
Turkey where films
Race 2 (2013),
Game(2011) and
Ek Tha Tiger (2012) were all filmed. Two very famous places in Turkey are
the Mardan Palace and the remains of the Large Public Roman Bath. The Mardan Palace
was presented as
John Abraham's palace in the film and the remains of the Large Public Roman
Bath was used in "Be Intehaan". In
Game,
Abhishek Bachchan's introductory scene was shot in Turkey. However, the most
famous area

in Turkey is the Ortakoy Mosque located in Besiktas Istanbul where "Maine
Yeh Kab Socha Tha" was filmed. Finally coming to
Ek Tha Tiger, the beginning scene in the movie was shot in
Zinciriye Medresesi and Mardin in Turkey and also at the Maiden's Tower in
Istanbul. The Mardan Palace was seen once again as the place where the UN
foreign ministers meet.
Here were 10 of the
loveliest,
prettiest, and spring-like locations around the world depicted by
Bollywood. While you all read this piece of article, this writer has
decided to go on a world tour to see these
places and cherish them. When she gets back, she hopes that like all of
