The angry young man of Bollywood Amitabh, and the demure Jaya fell in love amid the shooting locations of
Zanjeer and got married soon after the release
of the film. They tied the knot on June 3
rd, 1973, in a quiet ceremony in Mumbai. Prior to their marriage, Jaya starred opposite Amitabh in
Guddi and
Zanjeer; while post marriage, she shared screen space with him in hit films such as
Silsila, Abhimaan and
Mili. However,
Jaya soon took a sabbatical from her career, instead choosing to focus
on looking after her household and kids. She only returned in 2001 to
star opposite
her husband in
Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, making it their last venture till date.
This charismatic couple has two children, actor Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Shweta Nanda.

Known as the tragedy king,
Dilip Kumar
married the petite and beautiful,
Saira Banu, at the age of 44 while
she was only 22. It was her dream to marry the magnificent hero Dilip
Kumar, and her dream came true in 1966, when the duo were joined in
happy matrimony. The couple starred in various films together such as
Gopi, Sagina and
Bajrang.
However, Saira soon took a break from movies and gave time to her
marriage as problems started arising in between the couple. However,
once things settled down and fell into place, she yet again shared
screen space with her husband, in ironically their last film together,
Duniya.
Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt

Their first film together showed them as a mother-son duo in the epic movie
Mother India,
but who knew that during this movie, love would bloom between the two
stars! During the making of this film, a fire scene went out of hand and
ending up becoming an accident in which Dutt braved the raging fire to
save Nargis, and with that winning her love as well! The much in love
couple tied the knot on March 11, 1958 which resulted in Nargis choosing
to leave the film industry. However, she did make certain appearances
in the 60's in various movies. The two have three children, Sanjay Dutt,

tragedy strike in their life when Nargis got diagnosed with pancreatic

screens.

hit film
Sholay. He proposed and married Hema while he was still
married to his first wife

generation
is an inspiration for the generations coming ahead. We surely say
that they are the true examples of togetherness and unconditional love.
