Happy Birthday Shahid Kapoor!

The 25^th of February is a rather special date for all the crazy and drooling fans of Shahid Kapoor as the actor celebrates his 32^nd birthday.

Son of esteemed actor Pankaj Kapoor and actor/dancer Neelima Azim, Shahid belongs to a well established filmy family. This, of course, essentially formed the basis of his entry into Bollywood. And how could one forget his outstanding personality amidst the breathtaking dancing talent that can make any girl groove to his tunes?

Being the son of an actor often make things effortless for some but Shahid was an exemption as he struggled before making it big in Tinsel Town. His first shot before the camera belonged to television advertisements such as Pepsi and various music albums through which he became popular and recognized amongst the public. Being a skillful dance artist, he was also seen as a background dancer in Dil To Pagal Hai and Taal. Nevertheless, he finally got his big chance when he bagged the lead role in his debut film Ishq Vishk in 2003, alongside the pretty actress, Amrita Rao. The movie was a moderate success but Kapoor went on to win the prestigious Filmfare Best Debut Award, gaining him instant popularity as an actor. However, his career, which begun quite well, took a setback when movies such as Fida, Dil Maange More, Deewane Huye Paagal, Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi, Shikhar, 36 China Town and Chup Chup Ke didn't click with critics nor audience.

The year 2006 brought a major breakthrough in Kapoor's life with Vivah, a beautiful love story of two people after their engagement, their love and trust for each other. Casted yet again opposite Amrita Rao, the film was well accepted and loved by the audience. From there, the actor continued to climb the ladder of success as his career graph rocketed. Movies such as Jab We Met, Kismat Konnection, Kaminey, Badmaash Company, Paathshaala, Mausam and Teri Meri Kahaani strengthened his position in Tinsel Town, making him the most wanted and popular stars of Bollywood.
