Year
2012 witnessed the noteworthy comebacks of dazzling divas like Sridevi
and
Karisma Kapoor. Well, it appears the trend of making a comeback will
continue in 2013 as well with numerous celebrities returning to the
silver screen with more of their
admirable performances. You saw them start, progress with time and grow
to
heights which they might have never thought of and then unexpectedly
they left us to mark a new chapter in their lives. However, they are
going to be back in action after a hiatus from the films!
Starting with the celebrities, talk around town says that

B-town's new mom,
Aishwarya Rai
Bachchan, may be seen back to movies by mid year. Bachchan is said
to be in talks with two directors - Mani Ratnam for his new project
which is an
adaptation
of Daphne Du Maurier's classic novel
Rebecca, and
Karan Johar for his remake of Hrishikesh
Mukherjee's 1982 film
Bemisal. She is
even shedding the extra weight she had gained post the birth of her daughter,
Aaradhya. It is said that since her daughter is over a year old, she thinks it is an appropriate time to resume work. However, we'll have to wait and watch if the rumors
turn true and we indeed get to see her in a film or two this year!
Aaja
Nachle, Nachle Mere Yaar Tu Nachle... Yes you heard

it right! Our very own dhak
dhak girl
Madhuri Dixit Nene is gearing
up for yet another comeback to the silver screen to make us dance to her tunes.
She was seen last in 2007 released
Aaja
Nachle, which may not have impressed the critics but we loved and
accepted
her with open arms by making the film and notably her title song very
recognized.
Dixit was later seen judging several reality shows making it a point not
to vanish from screen altogether. This acting queen, who
ruled the Hindi cinema during late 80's and the 90's, will make her
second comeback
with two releases,
Gulab Gang directed and produced by
Anubhav Sinha and
Dedh
Ishqiya by Abhishek Chaubhey which will be the sequel to 2010's Vidya
Balan starrer
Ishqiya. Gulab Gang is
expected to release on March 8, 2013 which is International Women's day, while
Dedh Ishqiya was scheduled to
start shooting last year but will begin in January and release sometime later this
year. We surely expect some breathtaking dance moments and spectacular acting
from Madhuri this time around as well!
When
was the last time you saw
Raveena Tandon

onscreen? Was it in the celebrity chat show
Isi Ka Naam Zindagi in NDTV or in a
guest role in Amithabh Bachchan starrer
Bhudha Hoga Tera Baap? Well now we can see her in theaters with her new movie
Shobhna 7 Nights which is said to
release in March this year. She was indeed seen in
Bhudha Hoga Tera Baap
but the guest appearance was so minor that it was barely noticed.
However, she is playing a full-fledged and a somewhat experimental
role in this film. The movie has a bold concept and Raveena was
initially hesitant, but she
felt that she was mature enough and had grown enough to try new
concepts, which are quite accepted by today's
generation. The film also casts Rohit Roy and newbie Amit Purohit
opposite her.
Raveena is surely confident with the role she has picked; so lets
support and wish
her luck for the film!
The
dimple girl
Preity Zinta is leaving
no stone unturned

in promoting her comeback film
Ishkq In Paris which was scheduled to be released last year but got delayed
due to numerous reasons. Reasons are unclear but evidently we saw an optimistic
Preity still promoting the film which is now scheduled to release this year. The
story is based on an Indo-French girl played by Preity who falls in love in the
city of Paris. Directed by Prem Soni, the film also features french actress
Isabelle Adjani and newbie Rhehan Malliek. The story seems promising and lets
see how it works at the box-office.
She
was the leading herione at the era of Amitabh

Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sunny
Deol and Sanjay Dutt. She left the industry after settling down with actor Saif
Ali Khan who was nearly 12 years younger to her. She is still remembered for
those amazing movies she had acted in and also unfortunately due to her public divorce from Saif Ali Khan in 2004.
Amrita Singh
might have dropped the heroine roles but she can now be seen donning the role
of Arjun Kapoor's mother in
Karan Johar's
2
States which will hit theaters later this year. The movie is the adaption of
Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name.
Amrita Singh has
earlier essayed the role of a mother to Vivek Oberoi in Sanjay Gupta's
Shootout At Lokhandwala and Minissha
Lamba in Apoorva Lakhia's
Dus Kahaniyaan.
Either a heroine or a mother, we believe that she will rock it all over again.
We wish her a hearty good luck for her role.
Remember
the Baadshah girl
Sonali Bendre? Though not

in movies, she is seen in a variety of advertisements and in
reality shows as a judge nowadays. However, now you can prepare yourselves to
watch her in Milan Luthria's crime thriller
Once Upon a Time in Mumbai 2, which is the sequel of 2010's blockbuster hit
Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. The film
already has a huge star cast including
Akshay Kumar,
Imran Khan and Sonakshi
Sinha. Looking forward to this film, we hope Sonali has good screen space and an amazing role alongside this incredible cast.
Excited
to see a new innings in the careers of these amazing actresses? Let's keep
glued to the television screens and wait for their movies to hit the theaters!
