2013 Overview: Fresh Couples

The cold wind is still gushing by reminding us of the departure of the past year and the arrival of a new one! The year 2012 saw some really beautiful reel couples, like Arjun Kapoor-Parineeti Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan-Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt-Siddharth Malhotra, Emraan Hashmi-Esha Gupta, Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha, and the list goes on!

As the New Year settles in, everyone is waiting to see what this year will bring in terms of entertainment and something hatke. The chilly yet cool weather of January instills a hope, an expectation of new beginnings, and the sight of some never-seen-before faces working with each other.

Katrina Kaif - Aamir Khan (Dhoom 3)

Katrina Kaif has made it big since the day she placed her first step in the industry. It was an achievement when she managed to be noticed in a movie like Boom that wasn't appreciated by the public nor the box office. Aamir Khan, without a doubt is rightly called 'Mr. Perfectionist'. His brilliance in all his movies and projects makes him one of the most sought actors. The audience eagerly awaits to witness the couple's chemistry on screen, where Aamir carries out a grey shade, and Katrina plays his accomplice.

Sonam Kapoor - Farhaan Akhtar (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag)

Based on the Indian athlete Milkha Singh's real life, the movie consists of the star-kid Sonam Kapoor, who made her debut with a set of amazing actors as well as director. The movie also stars Farhaan Akhtar, who set fire with his performance in Rock On. Both have proved themselves time and again individually, and it's hoped that they won't disappoint their fans as a couple in this movie.

Sonakshi Sinha - Imran Khan (Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2)

An actress could ask for no better debut, than a movie with superstar Salman Khan. The Dabangg chick Sonakshi has had the opportunity to work with the cream of Bollywood till now, and there's no doubt that it has worked wonders for her. His chocolate boy looks have helped Imran Khan since he started his career with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Today, he has some really good movies in his kitty to work on. Their pairing is being contemplated about, and it would be a change to see them as a couple.

Deepika Padukone - Ranveer Singh (Ram Leela)

Making a debut with the romance king SRK himself in Om Shanti Om, Deepika got a perfect chance to prove herself, and indeed she made it to the mark in the eyes of her audiences. His off the track role in Band Baaja Baraat sure landed a lot of eyes on Ranveer Singh, paving his way in to the glamorous film industry. Their fans can expect a dazzling performance by the duo, each better than the other.

Alia Bhatt - Arjun Kapoor (2 States)

Alia Bhatt got popular even before the teaser of her debut movie was out. Her excellent expressions and beauty of her character in her debut movie Student of the Year proved her Bollywood genes. Arjun Kapoor on the other hand left no stone unturned in charming one and all with his ruffian looks in his debut Ishaqzaade. And along with his dazzling smile, he made his way into people's hearts. Fireworks can be expected when the two sizzle on screen together for the very first time late this year.

Sonakshi Sinha - Saif Ali Khan (Bullet Raja)

The year seems a promising one for Shatrugan Sinha's daughter, Sonakshi, who is preparing to work with different veteran actors. One of them is Saif Ali Khan, who has some very amazing movies in his kitty ready to be shot at beautiful locations. The couple is expected to create more fire with their upcoming movie.

Parineeti Chopra - Siddharth Malhotra (Hasee toh Phasee)

If anyone had any doubts, then the talented Parineeti erased them all with her energetic acting in the action cum romantic love story, Ishaqzaade. Siddharth too, left his mark in the industry with his debut movie, establishing himself as a powerhouse of potential. The movie will hopefully cast the two in a situation where they can make the best use of the others potential, and pass out with flying colors.

Arjun Kapoor - Priyanka Chopra - Ranveer Singh (Gunday)

The trio has contributed in a pertinent manner to the entertainment of the people in Bollywood. In this movie, there shall be a variety to witness, with Priyanka juggling between the two handsome hunks.

Anushka Sharma - Aamir Khan (Peekay)

Anushka made a dream debut with Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, and her latest venture with the greatest of all, Late Yash Chopra, gave a hike to her already booming career. It would be an experiment to see the ferocious hot chick work with the calm perfectionist aura.

Sonakshi Sinha - Ranveer Singh (Lootera)

Fans from across the globe will finally see the much awaited couple together on the big screen. Gearing up for this new project, the duo has already carved their way into many people's lives by giving blockbuster hits individually.

These are just a few of the couples who are working together for the first time this year. However, there are also numerous reel jodis who have been liked previously, and will come up yet again this year to entertain you.
