Celeb in the Spotlight is back with a bang! This time around we present the
well-rounded actor, assistant director, and dancer,
Varun Dhawan!
Born on April 24
th, 1987, Varun is the son of David and Karuna Dhawan, and the younger
brother of Rohit Dhawan.

He has a Business Management degree from Nottingham
Trent University, UK. Being related to two Bollywood directors, many would
think that Varun had an easy entry into Bollywood; however, very few know that he made his own path into Bollywood.
Working first as an
assistant director on
Karan Johar's
My
Name is Khan, Varun then went on to act in
Karan Johar's recent successful
film,
Student of the Year, where he was greatly admired by the critics. Many
of them mentioned that his dancing skills were beyond comparison to any
actor. In fact, superstar
Salman Khan praised Varun and said that he
would be the next big sensation of Bollywood.
Varun's success didn't
end with his first film. He has gone on to sign a film under the banner
of Balaji Motion Pictures. Rumors have it that
David Dhawan will be the director
of the movie, however, the details of the film and the star cast are yet to be
finalized.

- Varun mentioned that he wanted to become a wrestler as a
child.
- Salman Khan recommended and praised Varun even before Student of the Year released
- Varun is nothing like his on-screen character, Rohan, of Student of the Year. He once
said that he was poles apart from Rohan and when he is treated like Rohan, he finds it weird.
