In the field of mass entertainment media, India has shown exponential expansion on all fronts. Bollywood, the largest movie industry of the world second only to its fairer sister counterpart Hollywood, has become an avenue for budding aspirations and inspirations.

TV queen Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures, following consecutive blockbusters at BO with their non-mainstream projects, have been speculating for a while over the establishment of means to further opportunities for fresh talent. Post the widespread acclaim of The Dirty Picture especially, Ekta and Balaji have realized the concept and are all set to conduct an array of short term media courses for the promising youth that regularly enters the city of dreams, Mumbai, in large numbers.

This said venture will be offering 3-6 month courses with hands-on experience and training in fields of editing, writing, direction, sound, recording, cinematography, and production. The span of the courses shall be flexible, depending on the students' abilities to train in these specializations, without jeopardising their parallel years of compulsory education.

In promoting such a process, Ekta and Balaji hope to establish a promising symbiosis between those who seek professional training, and a regular inflow of formally trained talent into the industry.

In a generation of stiff competition, for the entertainment industry to acquire some firm institutionalization sounds like a promising aspect. Here's hoping the targeted youth will make the best of the chance!
