Though
this headline will likely be met with several double takes and unanimous raised
eyes, it is indeed a part of South Indian film producer Aaskar Ravichandran's
ambitious vision for a forthcoming film. If all goes in accordance with his 'lofty'
plans, then Bollywood superstar
Salman Khan, acclaimed Southern artist Kamal
Hassan and the Oriental icon of international repute, Jackie Chan, might soon
be sharing space on the silver screen.
Ravichandran
has reportedly been in touch with Chan ever since he starred in The Myth
alongside Mallika Sherawat and has made relentless efforts to bring him aboard
this dream project. The martial arts maestro, too, is said to have taken
a keen interest in what is touted to be a 400-crores mega budget film.
Now, we
hear that Chan has given his nod of approval to not only star in, but also
direct the film which is speculated be a follow up of his own 1986 blockbuster
Long
Xiong Hu Di (better known as.
Armour of God). To add to the
built-in intrigue, the producer is all geared up to convert it into a
multilingual, multi-starrer epic saga, thus making place for domestic
superstars like
Salman Khan and Kamal Hassan to round up the credits with a
wholesome blend of talent from all fronts. Both the home bigwigs are heard
to be extremely enthusiastic about the concept, and are currently making all
possible arrangements to bring it to fruition. Kamal Hassan may even
assist Jackie Chan in the capacity of a ghost-director, as he is known for
doing so in nearly all of his films.
Viewers all across Asia have much to look forward
to if this trailblazing venture makes it to the big screen; here's wishing
the prospective team all the best towards turning it into a reality and a
milestone in cinematic history!
