Forget the highly anticipated Dabangg 2; it's all about churning
out sequels for children's movies as both Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi
(hardly Bollywood's besties) have clashed to release their respective
projects first.
Salman Khan - who is no stranger to projects for children - had earlier co-produced Chillar Party alongside Vikas Bahl. Vivek Oberoi also seems to have taken a leaf out of Salman's book as he joined Mangesh Hadawale for Dekh Indian Circus.
Despite the difference in the two release dates, both movies have
competed globally for attention and were later honoured at the
International Children's Film Festival with top awards.
Interestingly,
the function held in Hyderabad was expected to see both stars making an
appearance. However they did not attend at the last moment, presuming
the other would be present.
Now that the films have both done
well, it seems to have become a matter of pride to the actors who have
both urged their directors to churn out sequels first. Both Vikas Bahl
and Mangesh Hadawale have confirmed that sequels will be taking place,
but we wonder who will get the upperhand this time?
