After overcoming multiple hurdles in finding the perfect actress for his upcoming remake of yesteryear's successful film,
Satte Pe Satta, Soham Shah finds himself, once again, back to square one.
Having previously offered the role to two actresses, both of whom rejected the project, Shah finally settled on
Vidya Balan to enact the iconic part that Hema Malini played in the original film. However, the latest we hear is that Vidya too has turned down the offer.

Running out of options, Shah felt compelled to talk to
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan again, his original choice for the role. After keeping them waiting impatiently for three months, Shah dismissed Aish from the project once news of her pregnancy was announced.
Madhuri Dixit was also approached again, but due to her demand of a hefty sum, she too has been ruled out. It has also been heard that Sanjay Dutt, the main lead, is not too keen on re-pairing with Madhuri, having his heart set on working with Aishwarya only.
Wanting to cast an authentic Indian face for the role, Shah and the producers of the film have once again approached Vidya. The last that has been heard is the future of the remake now lies in Vidya's hands.
Will Vidya accept? Will Shah be left helpless in finding another actress? Watch this space to find out!
