Asin to jump on the Item Bandwagon?

Following "Dhanno", "Munni" and of course "Sheila", we can't ignore the item number craze in Bollywood. 

Neither, it seems, can Asin!

The actress is said to be feeling typecast by her 'girl next door' (read: girl ignored) look and is looking for a quick fix to shed the mundane appearance. What can be easier then, than to jump on the 'Item bandwagon' and rid herself of the routine image as well as some ... clothes?

Producers and directors are apparently being approached about her willingness and hopefully the success of Ready will only help her cause.  Asin, it is rumoured, also greatly regrets not being a part of the instant success churned out by "Character Dheela", the Ready item number that has taken all charts by storm.

Her first step in remedying (or redeeming?) her simple girl offense shall come in the form of a two-piece act for Housefull 2. 

Can another item-diva on the floor become yet another phenomenon?!
