Even as ardent fans of the star Khan, many of you may not be aware of Saif Ali
Khan being a technophile - the kind who likes very much to be up to date with new technology and its many indulgences.
Amitabh Bachchan himself only just became privy to Chotte Nawab's guilty pleasure, on the sets of Prakash Jha's upcoming film Aarakshan,
also starring Deepika Padukone. Apparently, the tech savvy Saif introduced Big B to
an amazing, new form of rehearsal.
For the par-excellent mega star that he is, Mr. Bachchan was openly
impressed when Saif introduced him to an iPad application meant to
help actors in remembering their dialogues. He explained how the same
was used extensively in
Hollywood by location scouts, makeup artistes, costume designers and
even
directors and cinematographers.
If it seems like the start of new trends, we sure think so too - about Bollywood soon jumping on Apple's 'Rehearsal' bandwagon.
Tweets Big B, "Saif
has introduced me to a cool application on iPad called 'Rehearsal'. It is
useful particularly for us artists in reading scripts." ( (c) Twitter )
The two superstars are
coming together a second time on the big screen for Aarakshan, after Eklavya.
The
film, a high voltage drama based on one of the controversial caste
reservation policy in government jobs and educational
institutions, is being shot in Bhopal where the duo have been spending
time together. Saif, we hear, is proving to be quite patronizing of Big
B's
poetry sessions while Mr Bachchan has enjoyed working out with his
younger
counterpart.
Aarakshan, also
starring Prateik Babbar and Manoj Bajpai in significant roles, is slated for
release in August 2011.
It seems technology is not only bridging the gaps between the generations,
but between the stars as well. Here's hoping this friendship continues to
thrive.
