27th January marks a special day for three Bollywood stars as they take their lives forward by another year. Let's take a peek into the lives of the three birthday boys, Booby Deol, Shreyas Talpade and Samir Dattani.
Born in 1967 as Vijay Singh
Deol, the actor will celebrate his 44th birthday on January 27, 2011.
Bobby Deol is the second son of actor Dharmendra and first wife Prakash
Kaur, and stepson of the dreamgirl Hema Malini. He's the younger brother
of actor Sunny Deol, and stepbrother of actresses Esha Deol and Ahana
Deol.
At the age of ten, Bobby made his first appearance in the 1977 film Dharam Veer in which he played the younger version of his father. He waited until 1995 to make his debut in the industry, with the film Barsaat starring opposite Twinkle Khanna. It was for this film that Bobby received the Filmfare Best Debut Actor Award.
After having a great start with Barsaat, Bobby moved on to working in many films such as Gupt - The Hidden Truth, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, Soldier, Kareeb, Ajnabee, Humraaz, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Apne, Dostana and the latest Yamla Pagla Deewana. While he was nominated for the Filmfare award for Best Actor in Humraaz, he later went onto working with his brother and father in films such as Apne and Yamla Pagla Deewana.
Bobby is currently happily married to his wife Tanya Ahuja and the couple have two sons, Aryaman and Dharam; the latter being named after his grandfather.
Shreyas Talpade was born
on 27th January 1976 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to a Marathi family. After
doing his schooling in Shree Ram Welfare Society's High School, he
started his acting career by appearing in various Marathi and Hindi
soaps. His role, in a very popular Marathi serial Damini, as the
character Tejas became very popular among Marathi audiences. He bowled
his way into our hearts by playing a deaf aspiring cricketer in his
debut movie Iqbal which was well received by audiences as well as
the critics. Next, he played a comic role of a behroopiya in the
critically acclaimed film Dor. Later, he was also seen in popular films like Apna Sapna Money Money, Om Shanti Om, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Bombay to Bangkok, Golmaal Returns, and Golmaal 3
etc. He is married to Deepti Talpade whom he met when he went to her
college as a celebrity guest, where she was the General Secretary.
Samir Dattani
Samir
Dattani, also known as Dhyan in Kannada film industry was born on 27th
January 1982 into a Gujarati business family based in Mumbai. He did his
schooling at Greenlawns and graduated from H.R College. He started his
Hindi film career with one of the biggest banners in Bollywood, Rajshri
Films. Even though the film Uuf Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai did not do well at the box-office, his acting was appreciated. His roles in Madhur Bhandarkar's Corporate and Vikram Bhatt's Life Mein Kabhie Kabhie were small, but once again his acting was appreciated. He was also seen in films like Pyar Mein Twist, Mukhbir, Well Done Abba, and the latest I Hate Love Storys. He has delivered many hits in the Kannada film industry under the screen name Dhyan and has also done a Tamil film Kutty recently with Dhanush and Shriya Saran.
