10th January
marks the birthday of a talented Bollywood actor who made his debut
a decade ago and became an overnight sensation. Heartthrob to many
girls,
Hrithik Roshan celebrates his birthday today and turns 37 years
old.
Lets analyze his career a bit...
Hrithik started his career in Bollywood a

s a child artist when he was just six years old in the 1980s movie,
Aasha and later in movies such as
Aap Ke Deewane and
Bhagwan Dada in which his father, Rakesh Roshan, starred as the lead actor.
Hrithik grew up
with a severe case of stammering and at age twenty-one, he was diagnosed
with scoliosis, a medical condition where a person's spine is curved
into a 'S' or 'C' shape, where the doctors said he could never act,
dance and do all the things a Bollywood hero needs to do. But Hrithik
was persistent and for years he trained himself taking various speech,
acting and dancing lessons and with the help of the work-out king,
Salman Khan, Hrithik muscled himself up to the handsome fellow we see
today.
Overcoming his various problems, Hrithik made his debut as a star in his father's directorial venture, Kaho Na Pyar Hai,
also starring debutant Amisha Patel. The film became an overnight
success and catapulted Hrithik into stardom, proving that he indeed was
an actor. The film also brought to him his first two of his six Filmfare
awards with Best Male Debut and Best Actor.
Hrithik carried
on to perform in many films, of some which failed at the box-office
but continued to garner him recognition. Such movies include Mission Kashmir, Koi Mil Gaya, Lakshya, Krrish, Dhoom 2, and Jodhaa Akbar.
2010 hasn't been so lucky for the light eyed actor. In fact both of his released films, Kites and Guzaarish
didn't fare too well at the at box-office, even his critically
acclaimed role of the paraplegic in the latter did not earn the
audiences' approval.
However, 2011
hopefully will reign in better news for Hrithik where we will see him in
a few new projects. First up is Zoya Akhtar multi-starrer Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara where he will be seen alongside current sensations, Katrina Kaif, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar and Kalki Koechlin. Agneepath, a remake by Dharma Production co-starring Priyanka Chopra is also in the pipeline as well as Paani, where he will be paired up with Awarapan star, Shriya Saran.
Personal Life...
Hrithik who
is fondly known as Duggu, is happily married to Sussanne Khan, the
daughter of Sanjay Khan, since 20th December, 2000. They both became
proud parents of a baby boy, named Hrehaan Roshan, on March 28th, 2006
and again of a baby boy, Hridhaan on May 1st, 2008.
BollyCurry wishes Hrithik a very happy birthday and also all the best for the upcoming year.
