Anushka Sharma replaces Rishi Kapoor in Patiala House

Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma starrer Patiala House is the talk of the town these days. With all the buzz surrounding this film, we bring to you yet another one that seems to have taken the promotion of the movies to new heights.

 

It's no news that Anushka has gained immense stardom overnight  for her latest YRF release, Band Baaja Baraat. Her chirpy and headstrong character in the movie left a positive impact amongst the directors and producers of B-Town. Such an impact that she's even managed to replace Rishi Kapoor in her upcoming release, Patiala House!

 

The plot of the movie is based upon the emotional bonding shared by a father and his son. The initial posters featured only Rishi Kapoor and Akshay Kumar but now the Anushka factor left the film makers in a bit of a dilemma. So, to take advantage of the actress's sudden stardom, it has finally been decided to replace Rishi with Anushka on the promotional posters.

 

If that wasn't enough to tailor Anushka's rising fame, then it is heard that the plot of the movie has been slightly tweaked as well! Earlier Patiala House was promoted as a parallel track for cricket plus the father-son bond but now a love track between Akshay and Anushka has wedged itself in as well. Way to go Ms. Sharma!

 

The movie is all set to hit the big screen on 19th Feb, 2011.
