Birthday wishes for Juhi Chawla!

13th November marks a special day in the Bolly calendar as the birthday of one of the phenomenal ladies of tinsel town, Juhi Chawla Mehta.

The beauty with her charming smile and a memorable decade plus of immortal work in the industry.

Born in Ludhiana Punjab, and a graduate from Sydenham College in Human Resources, Juhi is married to industrialist Jay Mehta and is mother to a girl and a boy. Former Miss India '84, Former Best Costume winner for Miss Universe '84, the lovely actress is a professionally trained classical dancer (in Kathak) and like many recognized models who followed her suit, came about to pursuing a career in acting after the short but remarkable stint in the beauty world.

Having made her debut with Sultanat in 1986, Juhi has given Hindi cinema and her countless ardent fans a line of blockbusters including Qayamat se Qayamat Tak, Darr, Swarg, Bol Radha Bol, Lootere, Daraar, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Yes Boss, Ishq, et al.. Her versatility in on screen histrionics can be seen in the range of her roles from drama lead lady, to downright romantic tales, to witty comedies, meaningful social awareness films, and even thrillers. Her more recent Bolly ventures include Jhankaar Beats, 3 Deewarein, My Borther Nikhil & Bas Ek Pal.

In the recent years, Juhi Chawla has filmed in Punjabi cinema as well, along with turning producer for several Bollywood movies under the Dreamz Unlimited banner which she co-owns with friend and colleague Shahrukh Khan. The two of them also jointly own the IPL team Kolkata Knightriders under their commonly established company Red Chillies Entertainment.
