Shahid & Deepika in Khan's next?

If rumours are to be believed, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor may become the next sensational onscreen couple in Bollywood. That's right ! Director Sabir Khan is in talks with both actors for next his venture titled, Heer Ranjha.

However, signing of the contracts is turning out to be easier said than done - what DP's height posing a problem. Apparently, the pretty athletic actress is not keen on being paired up with a male lead shorter than herself!

One may find that intriguing, considering her 2010 release Karthik Calling Karthik was with Farhan Akhtar, who is definitely not Mr. Tall Guy! Perhaps its a resolution post the very average fairing of the same movie - or could there be more to DP's reluctance in sharing screen space with Shahid Kapoor?

Speculations have been subdued only because Khan successfully convinced Deepika that Shahid and her would be a remarkable pair. Khan is quite convinced that both Deeps and Shahid will do justice to his script, and the main characters.

Heer Ranjha - Namesake, the movie shall be a romantic tale, with much drama involved - will Shahid and DP bring to life the eternal lovers of the past?!
