Mud Mud Ke Ruk Gaya..

Himesh Reshammiya is a busy, busy man!

Not only is he a singer-composer, but he has also been rather occupied with acting stints in several films: Radio, which released in December'09 and did not do well at box office; Kajraare, A Love Issshtory and Love Unplugged, the release dates for which have not been finalized yet. And Mud Mud Ke, which is what this piece of news is about. For this movie is heard to have been recently shelved much prior to its tentative release.  

Mud Mud Ke, 40% of which had already been shot, was slated to star newcomers Niharika Singh and Jennifer Kotwal alongside Himesh, but buzz has it that the film went way over the budget, and had to be abandoned due to financial constraints. Apparently, one of the scenes needed to be filmed at a lavish bungalow, but since the available possibilities did not meet the requirement, a set had to be built instead. Not one satisfactory bungalow?! Weird that!

Furthermore, there is also a continuity problem in the movie. Current footage has Himesh with long hair, but now that his hair is shorter, the appearance of his character faces an abrupt difference. The last we knew, there were always the good old props called wigs - or is that against the censor board terms and conditions now?!

Himesh is completely clueless about the situation of the film, and has not heard from the producers in over nine months. To us, this sure seems to be the case of a discontinued project with rather fishy excuses!

Someone did say a 'jack of all trades was master of none' ... ? Perhaps music is your place to be Mr. Reshammiya!
