2010 is going to dole out liberal amounts of 'masakalli' dose - how?
Well that's because the gorgeous Sonam Kapoor has four movies lined up
for the year, one after the other, each promising to be different and
fresh!
For all the accolades that this Kapoor girl has, a genuine
blockbuster at the box office is yet to come! But fear not, cause the
list for 2010 is sure to wipe off that lingering jinx.
Here's
how it goes!
I Hate Love Stories, with Imran Khan is
gearing for pack up from the shooting schedules, and shall soon proceed
into the post production. This KJo production and Punit directorial,
which shall get the voice over from King Khan SRK himself, tells the
tale of a cynical boy and a romantic girl, and their eventual foray into
love.
There is Daddy Anil's home production Aisha, an
adaptation of Jane Austen's work Emma, where Sonam has been paired
opposite once-upon-a-time alleged boyfriend Abhay Deol. If what we hear
is in fact true, this movie shall see Sonam at her classic best, yet!
Abhay on his part has gone from taking dancing lessons to riding lessons
professionally. And knowing Anil Kapoor, one can expect quite a
performance! This movie too is heading towards completion.
Of
the remaining two we have Anees Bazmee's anticipated comedy, Thank
You. Cast opposite Action Kumar Akshay, Sonam shall strive to live
up to one of the obvious expectations one can have of her as Anil
Kapoor's daughter - getting her comic timing right. With shooting
schedules for Thank You up ahead, Sonam sure has to get her funny
bone lubricated!
Last, but certainly not the least is Mausam,
wherein Pankaj Kapoor casts superstar son Shahid Kapoor as the lovely
Sonam's male lead. The movie, which is the story of a depressed man,
played by Shahid, shall naturally be nothing in the lighter vein. With
shooting schedules for this one along side Bazmee's project, not only
will Sonam find herself in a hectic routine, but also opposite frames of
mind for her respective characters.
With a platter as full as
that one, Sonam's many, many fans have every reason to smile. One hopes
the actress will finally garner the much-delayed success in her
otherwise blooming career!
